Slack integration

How to connect CutClub to your Slack workspace for reminders and results.

CutClub's Slack integration posts matchup reminders, submission deadlines, and results directly to your channel. It's optional, but clubs that use it tend to stay more active.

What it does

When connected, Slack handles the nudges so you don't have to:

  • Theme drop notifications -- your channel gets pinged when a new matchup starts
  • Submission reminders -- a heads up before the deadline so no one forgets
  • Voting reminders -- same thing, for the voting window
  • Results posts -- standings and winner announced in the channel when voting closes

What it doesn't do

The Slack integration is for notifications only. Submissions and voting still happen in CutClub. Players can't submit or vote from Slack.

How to connect

  1. Go to your season settings in CutClub
  2. Find the Slack integration section
  3. Click Connect to Slack and authorize the app for your workspace
  4. Choose the channel where you want notifications posted
  5. Save

You need to be a Slack workspace admin, or have permission to add apps, to complete the connection.

Do all players need Slack?

No. The integration connects to a channel -- anyone in that channel gets the notifications. Individual players don't need to do anything on their end. If some players aren't in Slack, they'll get email notifications instead.

Removing the integration

You can disconnect Slack from your season settings at any time. Notifications fall back to email.
