Fixes for common issues in CutClub, from login problems to submission errors.

Running into something? Here are fixes for the most common issues.

I'm not receiving the magic link

  • Check your spam or junk folder first
  • Make sure you're using the email address you signed up with
  • Wait a minute and request a new link -- there's sometimes a short delay
  • If you're on a work email, your IT settings may be filtering it. Try a personal email address instead.

If none of that works, email hello@playcutclub.com.

The page isn't loading or looks broken

  • Try a hard refresh: Cmd+Shift+R on Mac, Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows
  • Clear your browser cache and reload
  • Try a different browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge are all supported)
  • If the issue is happening to multiple people in your club at the same time, there may be a service disruption. Email us and we'll take a look.

I can't submit my song

  • Make sure you're submitting before the deadline. Once the window closes, submissions lock.
  • Check that your link is from a supported platform: Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, SoundCloud, or Bandcamp.
  • Make sure the link points directly to a song, not an album, playlist, or artist page.
  • Try copying the link fresh from the platform rather than pasting something saved earlier.

My vote didn't register

  • Voting closes at the deadline. If you submitted after the cutoff, your vote won't count.
  • If you voted before the deadline and your votes aren't showing in the results, email us with your account email and the matchup number.

I'm not getting Slack notifications

  • Make sure the Slack integration is connected in your season settings.
  • Check that the bot has been added to the channel you selected. It needs to be invited to private channels.
  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration from your season settings.

My payment didn't go through

  • Double-check your card details and billing address
  • Try a different browser or clear your cache
  • If you were charged but your season didn't activate, email us right away at hello@playcutclub.com

Something else is wrong

Email us at hello@playcutclub.com. Include your account email, what you were trying to do, and what happened instead. Screenshots help.
