Teams mode

How Teams mode works in CutClub: collaborative competition where your crew's score is your score.

Teams mode splits your club into groups that compete together. You still submit and vote as an individual, but your points contribute to your team's total. Both individual and team standings are tracked throughout the season.

How teams are formed

At the start of the season, players are randomly divided into teams. Each team gets a name and a color that appear next to player names throughout the season.

You need at least 4 players (2 teams of 2) to run Teams mode.

Manual and draft team formation are coming soon. Right now, teams are assigned randomly.

How scoring works

Individual scoring works exactly the same as Classic: you submit one cut, distribute your points in voting, and earn points based on how the club votes.

Your individual points also count toward your team's total for that matchup. At the end of each round, teams are ranked by the combined points of all their members. At the end of the season, the team with the highest cumulative points wins.

What you see

Throughout the season, the results page shows:

  • Individual rankings, same as always
  • Team totals for each matchup
  • A team standings table alongside the individual leaderboard

Joining mid-season

If a player joins after the season has started in Teams mode, they can't be added to an existing team. It's best to lock the roster before launching. If you need to add someone, email us at hello@playcutclub.com and we'll help.
